Evelyn Wang
- Gail E. Kendall Professor
- Department Head
- Department of Mechanical Engineering
Evelyn Wang is the Gail E. Kendall Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the Principle Investigator of the Device Research Laboratory (DRL) at MIT. She also serves as the head of the department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT. The DRL focuses on fundamental studies of micro and nanoscale heat and mass transport for applications in thermal management, nanoengineered surfaces, solar thermal energy conversion, and water harvesting. Wang received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and her M.S. and PhD from Stanford University. She is a recipient of the 2016 ASME Electronics Packaging and Photonics Division Women of the Year Award and the ASME Bergles-Rohsenow Young Investigator Award.
